Parent Information
We would love for you to come & take part in one or two of the sessions at pre-school. It is a wonderful opportunity to see your child in action with us, and gain an insight into what they do when they are here. If you would like to come in then please ask your key person.

St Mary's Preschool Prospectus
Here is our preschool prospectus. Online Learning Journeys We now use an online learning journey system called Tapestry. It gives parents access to photos and videos of their child at pre-school on their computers, phones or tablets. Parents are able to leave their child with the peace of mind that a video or photo of their child enjoying themselves may be sent to them while their child is at pre-school. Parents are also able to add photos and videos to their child's account so that your key person can work in partnership with you. Tapestry is instant and you will get an email alert when a new observation is ready to be seen. This is brilliant for working parents so you can see what your child is up to while you work. Tapestry is very secure and parents and carers are given their own unique log in details. If you are attending pre-school now please log in to Tapestry using the button below. |
Pre-school Uniform
We encourage the children to wear our uniform as it gives a sense of belonging, allows them to get used to the idea and routine of wearing a uniform whilst also protecting their other clothes. Our uniform consists of pre-school sweatshirts & polo shirts. They are both royal blue with an embroidered logo and & very good quality. Although the uniform is lovely, it is not compulsory. |
Outdoor Play
We will be accessing the outside area daily, in all weathers, as we have a lovely shelter. Please make sure your child brings a warm coat & wellington boots (which you can leave at pre-school) and remember to write your child’s name on all their clothes and shoes. When the weather gets warmer don't forget to send your child in with a hat, suncream and apply suncream at home before the session. |
Change of Clothing
Please ensure that you provide your child with a change of clothing in a named bag & place on the fence with their names when they enter pre-school, just in case we need to change them. Please ensure your child is wearing clothes and shoes that are easy for them to manage when they are accessing our children’s toilets. If your child is using nappies, please provide nappies and wipes in their bag too. |
Junk Modeling
The children really enjoy building & creating their own structures using a range of different materials. Please bring in your contributions of empty clean boxes, packets, kitchen rolls, wrapping paper tubes, bottles & yogurt pots. We would also love some larger boxes from them to create structures in out outside play area. Please, no egg boxes or containers that have had food with nuts in due to children with allergies. |
